GREG NORMAN MAKES 'WORLD-CLASS' ADDITION AS LIV GOLF'S EXPANSION CONTINUES

LIV Golf has snagged another high-profile name, not from the greens but from the corporate suite.

Adam Harter, with a resume boasting stints at PepsiCo, is stepping in as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). LIV's CEO Greg Norman couldn't contain his excitement at the news, declaring Harter's arrival as nothing short of "world-class".

LIV has been on a recruitment spree since its launch in 2022, poaching top talent from the PGA Tour to bolster its ranks. Now, they're beefing up their executive team, with Norman and his colleagues rolling out the red carpet for Harter in his new role as CMO.

Norman was effusive in his praise after Harter's appointment. He said: "Adam brings a unique, world-class set of skills and experience that will bolster LIV Golf ’s ongoing work and create incredible new opportunities to develop our league and team brands.

"The addition of executives like Adam will help expand and deliver on the league’s long-term goals as we continue to reach fans across the world in new and exciting ways. We’re building a strong foundation of leading professionals dedicated to growing our league. We are proud of our many accomplishments thus far, but the best is yet to come."

The newly appointed CMO, keen to immerse himself in the Saudi-sponsored circuit, added: "I’m thrilled to join LIV Golf at a dynamic period in the league’s history and the history of the sport. LIV Golf is already well-known for its groundbreaking innovations for golf and driving global fan and partner engagement that is unique in the sports landscape.

"I can’t wait to build on LIV’s early success and continue developing global league and team brands that will be recognised around the world. LIV Golf’s future is extremely bright, and the opportunities are endless."

Harter's induction comes shortly after LIV incorporated five additional executives into their ranks. With recent changes taking place, the league announced the incorporation of David Phillipps as the new Chief Financial Officer, alongside Ross Hallett assuming the role of Head of Events and Katie O'Reilly entrusted with Head of Team Business Operations.

Additionally, Pam Sacree was recently anointed the Head of Human Resources, whereas Tim Taylor now manages the Saudi-supported tour's UK headquarters in London. These appointments demonstrate LIV's resolute intent, despite lingering uncertainties due to the unprecedented announcement of a framework agreement between the PGA Tour and Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) back in June.

This pact between LIV's biggest rivals and its funders saw the breakaway league and Norman excluded from negotiations, casting shadows over his circuit's future. Despite doubts, Norman remains confident that his unique league isn't going anywhere.

"I'm just gonna answer as the CEO of LIV," he told Bloomberg. "My boss [Yasir Al-Rumayyan] told me LIV is not gonna go anywhere. It'll be well and truly in operation, running well past his death. Now he's a young guy.

"So he's asked me just to stay focused and deliver LIV. LIV is a standalone entity. He's invested billions of dollars into this. And we are starting to see the creation of an ROI (return on investment) within this. So we're gonna stay focused over here."
