COREY SEAGER - FANTASY BASEBALL START 'EM, SIT 'EM PICKS FOR WEEK 7 (2024)

BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Batting second every day in an explosive Texas Rangers offense, Corey Seager has somehow driven in a mere eight runs through 29 games this season after tallying a career-high 96 RBI in just 119 contests last year. That's not to mention that he's only rapped two doubles in 128 plate appearances so far after notching a league-high 42 two-baggers a season ago.

After earning his second career World Series MVP Award last postseason, the 30-year-old four-time All-Star was held to three Cactus League appearances during spring training due to sports hernia surgery, and perhaps the sluggish start can be attributed to that setback. Seager wraps up Week 6 with a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals, which could be the elixir for his early-season troubles.

In eight games for the Rangers versus the Royals in his career, Seager has gone 11-for-28 (.393) with four home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored, and four walks. On top of that, he then gets a mouthwatering seven-game Week 7 with four matchups against the division-rival Oakland Athletics and three dates at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies. It's hard to draw up a better setup on paper than that.

Seager belted three homers and three doubles with five RBI in seven games (30 at-bats) against Oakland last season, and the former Los Angeles Dodger owns a gaudy .322/.422/.527 triple-slash line with five round-trippers, 11 doubles, 25 RBI, and 34 runs scored in 38 career outings (146 ABs) at Coors Field.

The three-time Silver Slugger looks poised to close his buy-low fantasy window in the coming games, and Seager is a confident start in all formats for the conclusion of Week 6 and all of Week 7.
