UPDATE ON DAMIAN PRIEST’S ACCIDENT
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, we saw a number of great matches staged during Clash at the Castle, with the main event that saw Damian Priest remain the Heavyweight world champion on Monday Night Raw, in a brutal match against Drew McIntyre, won by the champion thanks to the entry into the ring of CM Punk with the referee shirt.
During the match, however, there was a commercial that frightened both the world champion and fans in the Scottish arena, when Priest jumped from the top rope, but remained with his leg wedged between the second and the third rope of the ring, practically dangling on the apron ring.
Fortunately, in the end nothing serious happened, so he could continue his reign as Heavyweight champion to face the returning Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank. But how did backstage react to the scene that could change the fate of the event? Triple H talked about it at the Pat McAfee Show.

The King of Kings said: "It seemed that he almost killed himself, as if he had torn anything, any joint. We have contacts with the referees and everything, and at the time he was trying to figure out how to get him out of there.
And when I saw it live, I said to myself, 'Oh my God, the show is over. We have to get it out of there, get it out,' and the gears of my brain immediately set in motion to figure out how to do it, and in the meantime we asked, 'Are you okay? ' Then a few seconds later, he answers that he is fine.
And I: 'Not possible. ' We ask again to be sure and tells us that he is fine. He gets up, I see him, and he’s adamant that he’s fine. And I said, 'Okay, let’s see what happens. ' I thought it was the adrenaline of the moment, but then we found out it was really good.
I want these kids out of here safe and sound when it’s over, and their safety comes first in everything we do." One of the most important matches we’ll see in the upcoming WWE MEWP, Money in the Bank, is definitely the one for Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship, with the Judgment Day champion putting his belt up for grabs against former champion Seth Rollins, back to surprise on Monday Night Raw just a week ago and that immediately asked for a title chance.
