CAITLIN CLARK DELIVERS STRONG MESSAGE ON FEVER COACH'S CONTROVERSIAL FINAL PLAY VS. SKY

The Indiana Fever lost to the Chicago Sky on Sunday by a final score of 88-87. It was an incredible WNBA game between the two teams, as Chicago finally gets on the board in the season series with this win.

With all eyes on the battle between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, the two star rookies did not disappoint. Leading her team to victory, Reese finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Clark was impressive as well, finishing with 17 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds.

The game ended on a controversial final play call from Fever coach Christie Sides, as the play was seemingly not drawn up for Clark.

When asked after the game if she would have liked to take the final shot, Clark said, "I mean, sure, you can wish it. I’m sure there was an opportunity or two for me to probably attempt another shot there at the end, but I trust my teammates… I’m gonna give them the ball every time.”

Sides seemed to confirm after the game that the game plan on that final play was indeed to get Aliyah Boston a shot, telling reporters, "I mean, it was just to get a quick touch right there, [Aliyah Boston] turn, and get a basket."

Many have been critical of this decision from Sides, as Clark was not given an opportunity to make a potential game-winning shot despite playing well all game. For Indiana, their four-game winning streak comes to an end at the hands of Chicago.
