PHILADELPHIA 76ERS HAVE INTEREST IN BROOKLYN NETS PLAYER

The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to build a roster that can challenge for the Championship moving forward. They already have an exciting Big Three in place in the form of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George.

That has the makings of a team that can compete for the ring. Now, it is about building the right roster around them.

They have made some interesting moves in that regard as well. Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre have been handed two-year deals. On the other hand, Eric Gordon has signed a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.

There are question marks regarding the future of Paul Reed in Philadelphia. At the same time, there seems to be trade interest in a Brooklyn Nets player on their part.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the 76ers have exploratory interest in trading for Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith.

After going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, Finney-Smith was signed by the Dallas Mavericks. After impressing during training camp and preseason, he ended up earning himself a spot on the team, even starting a lot of games that season.

Finney-Smith stayed with the Mavericks until being traded to the Nets last year. Could the 31-year-old be on the move once again in the near future?

The Nets appear to be a team that is entering a rebuild and as a result, Finney-Smith could be available this summer.

Finney-Smith played 68 games for the Nets last season, averaging 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He shot 42.1% from the field and 34.8% from beyond the arc.

Someone like Finney-Smith could be a decent addition to this 76ers team. He does the job on the defensive end and is a good shooter too.

Also, he has plenty of experience under his belt, which could be vital for a team like the 76ers, who are looking to compete at the top moving forward.
