TOP-5 PROSPECT CALEB HOLT RECEIVES OFFER FROM KENTUCKY

Mark Pope has been hard at work, gearing up for Year 1 in Lexington, but he has also been working and recruiting for the future of the program as well.

Pope and his staff have been all over the country seeing the best talent at the high school level and have offered numerous top guys.

Most recently, Caleb Holt, a class of 2026 recruit, announced on Twitter that he’s been offered by the Kentucky Wildcats to play at the next level. Holt holds offers from other big-name schools like Duke, North Carolina, Alabama, Kansas, Auburn, and Tennessee, among others.

The 6-foot-5 small forward is rated a 5-star recruit by all major websites and is the current No. 3 prospect in the class of 2026 via On3, ESPN, and 247 Sports, while Rivals has him slotted at No. 4. He now plays for Grayson High School in Georgia after previously playing for Buckhorn High School in Alabama.

Holt was Alabama’s 2024 Mr. Basketball winner after averaging 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 2.4 assists last season. He led Buckhorn to back-to-back Class 6A state titles and was the MVP of both tournaments as a freshman and sophomore.

Holt still has plenty of time to visit schools and narrow down his list, but it is great to see Kentucky continuing to get involved in full swing in the recruiting world.
