BRANDON AIYUK NAMES STEELERS AS A TEAM HE WOULD LIKE TO PLAY FOR IN 2024

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been connected to Brandon Aiyuk for nearly three months.

The San Francisco 49ers receiver is seeking an extension that pays him within the $30 million per year range, and judging from his appearance on The Pivot, the two sides don’t seem to be close to a deal.

Leading up to the NFL Draft, the Steelers were labeled as a team that could be in the mix for the star receiver, and did reach out to the 49ers, but ultimately did not meet what San Francisco was looking for in terms of a trade package.

Aiyuk seemed to tease Steelers fans when he posted on X for the first time in over a year, telling head coach Mike Tomlin he saw the memes saying they looked alike. Now, Aiyuk names the Steelers as a team when asked what team’s uniform he will be wearing in 2024.

“Probably a Niner uniform,” Aiyuk said. “If not a niner uniform, probably a Washington Commander uniform. If not a Washington Commander uniform, probably a Steelers uniform.”

Host and former Steelers safety Ryan Clark was pouring fuel on the Steelers fire, hyping up George Pickens, as well as Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

It seems that the hopes of Aiyuk to Pittsburgh are very much still alive.
