DETROIT LIONS SIGNED PAIR OF FREE AGENTS ON TUESDAY

The Detroit Lions made a pair of roster moves on Tuesday, with the team signing two free agents in defensive lineman Kyle Peko and safety C.J. Moore.

The Moore signing was reported earlier in the day, and as we previously wrote, it's a big boost to both the team's depth at safety and special teams.

Moore was suspended for the entire 2023 campaign due to a gambling suspension, which prompted his release from Detroit. Prior to that, he spent four seasons with the Lions, tallying 48 tackles and two passes defensed over 56 games (one start). Moore only played 344 defensive snaps in that span and 1,078 on special teams.

Peko spent last season with the Tennessee Titans, appearing in 13 games (10 starts). He played under Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams, finishing with 22 tackles (two for loss). He'll offer some added competition for a depth role on defense.
