NFL MOCK DRAFT DATABASE: ALL OF THE PLAYERS BEING MOCKED TO THE DENVER BRONCOS

All signs point towards a quarterback for the Denver Broncos, with Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy and Oregon’s Bo Nix leading the way. Interestingly enough, many mock drafters are ignoring Denver’s critical need at quarterback and going in a different direction.

Out of the 45 mock drafts tracked, here were the players mocked the most to the Denver Broncos:

  • QB Bo Nix - 15 times
  • QB J.J. McCarthy - 7 times
  • TE Brock Bowers - 6 times

Let’s take a look at all of the recent NFL mock drafts for the Broncos first round pick.

While more than half mocked a quarterback, there were also a slew of cornerbacks, edge and defensive lineman, tight ends, and even a wide receiver going at the Broncos first round selection. If I had to pick a specific mock draft that I hope for the most, I would actually have to select two: one a trade down scenario and the other a trade up scenario.

First would be the Fantasy Pros mock below where Denver traded up to the eighth overall spot to get J.J. McCarthy. The cost to move up from 12 to 8 would be reasonable enough for me to love that trade. The other one came via Tom Fornelli at CBS Sports who had Denver trade all the way back to the 31st spot in the first round to get Bo Nix. The value in picks compensation to move back that far would enable head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton to continue roster building with those extra picks, while still getting their quarterback.

What mock draft above would you hope most closely aligns with the Broncos outcome in the 2024 NFL Draft? Share in the comments section below.
