MCDONALD'S ALL-AMERICAN TRENT PERRY FLIPS HIS COMMITMENT

Trent Perry, one of the top players in the 2024 class and a McDonald's All-American guard, has officially flipped his commitment.

The Harvard Westlake point guard, a four-star point guard, had previously been committed to USC. However, he de-committed following Andy Enfield's departure from USC for the SMU job.

Now, on Wednesday night, he officially flipped his commitment decision.

He made it official, speaking to On3.

“I chose UCLA because of the opportunity to play at the highest level in my home town,” he said. “Coach Cronin has a great vision for me and the team and I can’t wait to work with the guys we have.”

Perry is very highly thought of, according to On3's scouting department:

“Trent Perry has a smooth feel for the game. He plays with a mental toughness, with good positional size, and a well-rounded skill set. He is a smooth shooter with range off the bounce and off the catch. He has a repeatable load with a consistent release at each level. He is also a capable ball handler. He can get a team into sets and handle the pressure of point of attack defense. He is an average athlete that lacks top end burst, which could pose some questions. High IQ player, he understands footwork and angles on both ends of the floor. A very steady performer, no matter the situation.”

Best of luck at UCLA, Trent.
