THE 9 BEST PLAYERS OF PREMIER LEAGUE GAMEWEEK 35 - RANKED

Another gameweek is in the books and once again there's little to separate Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

The two title rivals both won on Saturday and there were more than a few impressive performers, with Erling Haaland and Declan Rice two such players to turn heads with their standout outings.

However, there was plenty of star quality on display elsewhere as the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle all picked up big victories.

With that in mind, here are 90mim's top players from Gameweek 35 of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

9. Bruno Guimaraes

There's a lot of chatter about Bruno Guimaraes' next club with news of a release clause being in play this summer, but Newcastle's strong performances continue towards the end of the season with the Brazilian at their core.

He was far too devilish in possession for Burnley to get anywhere near him during the Magpies' 4-1 win at Turf Moor, putting his side out of sight with their third goal shortly before half-time.

8. Cody Gakpo

Cody Gakpo can be an infuriating presence in Liverpool's forward line but everything clicked for the Dutchman in his side's 4-2 thumping of Tottenham.

Gakpo assisted Salah's opener and showed some centre forward instincts by rising highest to nod in Harvey Elliott's precise cross at the start of the second half.

He'll need to be more efficient under the new regime, but Gakpo displayed his natural talents at the expense of an increasingly weary Spurs.

7. Nicolas Jackson

The visiting centre-back partnership of Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna just could not get to grips with Chelsea's swarming attackers on Sunday afternoon and Nicolas Jackson was on hand to take advantage.

The Senegal international remains a raw prospect but his brace against the Hammers means he now has 13 goals in his debut Premier League campaign - hardly a total to be sniffed at given things haven't always been rosy at Stamford Bridge in 2023/24.

Jackson also helped Cole Palmer open the scoring with an astute assist.

6. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Nottingham Forest haven't earned too many fans for their antics off the pitch, but there can be no criticising Callum Hudson-Odoi's vital brace in the 3-1 win at Sheffield United.

The Blades are already relegated but still threatened to dent Forest's own survival hopes by taking the lead, but Hudson-Odoi curled in a wonderful equaliser and then hit the post before cutting in to make it 3-1 after Ryan Yates' strike.

Nuno Espirito Santo's outfit are now three points clear of the bottom three and could get another few back if the appeal against their points deduction is successful. Either way, they'll need Hudson-Odoi to keep performing.

5. Noni Madueke

West Ham might have had some weary defenders on display on Sunday, but that was hardly Noni Madueke's problem.

The former Tottenham academy prospect made mince meat of former Blue Emerson Palmieri and was on hand to nod in Thiago Silva's header to make it 3-0.

He exploited Zouma and Ogbonna's waning capabilities with a clever run that was picked out by Trevoh Chalobah to give Jackson a tap-in and is ending the season strongly, having been pivotal when Chelsea earned a point away at Aston Villa in late April.

4. Michael Olise

The writing was on the wall for Manchester United before their trip to Crystal Palace with so many players out injured, but those who did make it onto the pitch couldn't get close enough to Michael Olise.

The French attacker was on song at Selhurst Park, scoring two delectable goals. He raced away from Casemiro and finished well for his first and then smashed another in from range to wrap up the scoring.

The Red Devils are rumoured to be interested in signing Olise and it's not hard to see why based off this performance.

3. Declan Rice

Arsenal have needed their big guns to continue firing to remain at the top of the Premier League table and Declan Rice was at it again as they made it four straight victories with a 3-0 success against Bournemouth.

The valiant Cherries held on until just before half-time but it was Rice whose contributions late on ensured the Gunners waltzed their way to a straightforward win.

The England international flicked a pass into Leandro Trossard's path before the Belgian made it 2-0 and then converted an opportunity of his own to wrap up the points.

2. Harvey Elliott

Harvey Elliott clearly has the goalscoring gene in his blood, though when his strikes arrive in the Premier League they tend to be blockbusters from distance rather than box-to-box finishes.

The busy midfielder got on the scoresheet in Liverpool's beat down of Tottenham with a spectacular strike from range, having also teed up Gakpo's header to make it 3-0.

He'll definitely want to be more of a goal threat next season, but Elliott was the Reds' best performer at Anfield and showed he deserves to be a major player in the post-Jurgen Klopp regime.

1. Erling Haaland

Maybe it's just his incredible physical attributes that help Erling Haaland make everything look so easy on his day.

Wolves had no answer to Man City's juggernaut striker who helped himself to four goals at the Etihad Stadium, firmly keeping his side in the driving seat in the Premier League title race.

There had also been excitement for a thrilling conclusion in the battle for the Golden Boot but Haaland now sits on 25 goals for the season, four ahead of nearest challenger Palmer.
