THE BLOODLINE ARE GOING AFTER THE WWE TAG TEAM TITLES

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown opened with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis agreeing to allow Jacob Fatu to step in for an injured Tonga Loa alongside Tama Tonga in the tag team title number one contender’s Gauntlet match later in the evening. You won’t be surprised to learn, then, that The Bloodline emerged victorious in that match.

It started with Baron Corbin & Apollo Crews, the unlikeliest of duos, squaring up with Legado del Fantasma’s Angel & Berto. It was a fairly competitive back-and-forth battle, to, with Corbin scoring the pin with the End of Days.

That brought out The Street Profits, back to looking like themselves with Bobby Lashley seemingly out of the picture. They took care of business getting Corbin & Crews out.

Pretty Deadly were out next trying to steal one, but they were overcome after a relatively short sprint.

Next came The OC, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, who were always going to go down because, well, it couldn’t be a heel vs. heel showdown to end it.

That left only The Bloodline and Wade Barrett said it best: “how many advantages does one team need?” They had enough to handle business against a team who just had multiple matches back-to-back-to-back, as Fatu hit the moonsault on Montez Ford to give his team the victory and bring him one step closer to doing what his Tribal Chief has asked of him.

Bringing all the titles back to family.

We shall see soon enough.
