IN PICTURES: ROGER FEDERER ALL SUITED-UP IN ATTENDANCE AT WIMBLEDON 2024 JUST HOURS AFTER WIFE MIRKA'S SURPRISE SW19 APPEARANCE

Roger Federer was spotted at the Wimbledon grounds on Day 4 (Thursday, July 4) of the tournament. The Swiss, who retired in 2022, is the record eight-time winner of the Grand Slam and continues to be closely associated with the tennis world.

Federer was seated in the Royal Box at Centre Court last year, his first Wimbledon appearance after his retirement. The Swiss legend claimed earlier this year that he was planning to visit after he was pressured by his kids. During a screening of his documentary, the 42-year-old said his kids wanted to be at SW19 this year:

"I'm making plans, kids are pushing me there... I'm happy at home but the kids said ‘No we wanna come to Wimbledon this year, you were [there] last year without us!', so, hey, then we go to Wimbledon."
"Most likely I'll be there, I don't know if we're gonna watch any matches but I'll be in the Wimbledon village, so try to spot me there," he added.

Federer's wife Mirka was spotted in the stands at Centre Court watching World No. 1 Jannik Sinner play against compatriot Matteo Berrettini. The top seed fought hard to win the second-round match 7-6(3), 7-6(4), 2-6, 7-6(4) on July 3. However, Roger Federer was not pictured with her.

On July 4, Federer was spotted all suited up in Wimbledon village. Here are a few pictures from Federer's visit to Wimbledon:

Federer won his first Wimbledon title in 2003 and won his seventh title in 2012. He managed to bag the record-breaking eighth title five years later in 2017. Novak Djokovic is the closest to the Swiss tennis icon with seven titles and he is currently participating in the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.

Roger Federer retired in September 2022 after playing for the last time in the Laver Cup. The 2023 Wimbledon Championships was the Swiss maestro's first appearance at the Grand Slam post his retirement.

Federer and his wife Mirka were honored in the Royal Box at Centre Court prior to the first-round match between the then-defending champion Elena Rybakina and Shelby Rogers.

The record eight-time winner was looking sharp in a cream-colored suit and was seated next to his wife and Catherine, Princess of Wales.
