SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER'S WIFE SENT SIMPLE MESSAGE TO TOM KIM AFTER TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Scottie Scheffler's wife, Meredith Scheffler, met with Tom Kim after the Travelers Championship, sharing high praise for the tournament runner-up. Scheffler beat Kim in a one-hole playoff, finishing the tourney at 22-under.
"I'm so proud of you," said Meredith via PGA Tour on X.
Scheffler's wife was also carrying their young child, telling the baby to say, "I love Uncle Tom."
Kim and Scheffler were battling for the title, but a short par in the playoff round ended with Scheffler shooting four and Kim shooting five.
Despite Kim's loss, the Scheffler family seems to have immense respect for the talented golfer. Meredith and Kim embraced with a hug quickly after the final round.
According to the Official World Golf Rankings, Scheffler is listed as the No. 1 golfer in the world, while Kim stands at No. 16. The South Korean golfer is one of eight golfers from outside of the United States in the Top 20 rankings.
Both Scheffler and Kim led the Travelers Championship by two strokes. Kim proved that he can go neck-and-neck with the best of the best, and the South Korean native should continue to see his name rise in the rankings.
