AGGIES GET MASSIVE NEWS ON BASEBALL PORTAL PLAYERS

One of the alleged benefits of hiring former assistant Michael Earley as Texas A&M’s head baseball coach was that he would be able to retain the current roster better than any incoming coach. This was evident as many current and former players advocated for his hiring over the past week.

Well the proof is in the pudding, and well, it’s time to eat some gosh darn pudding.

On Tuesday, the Aggies’ two best hitters (who had entered the transfer portal last week) 3B Gavin Grahovac and OF Jace LaViolette, announced that they will be returning to Texas A&M in 2025.

This comes just days after SS Ali Camarillo removed his name from the portal (though the MLB Draft could still lure him away), and DH Hayden Schott announced his plans to come back for another season.

There are several other players the Aggies are looking to be in good shape to retain, be it from transferring elsewhere or testing the MLB waters (but to be clear, Braden Montgomery is almost certainly going pro). Suffice to say, the 2025 Texas A&M baseball roster could look VERY similar to how it did in 2024, and if it does, it will once again be one of the top rosters in college baseball.
